Patrick Flood is Professor of Organizational Behaviour at DCU Business School where he teaches organizational behaviour, leadership and change. He has provided advice and delivery on leadership and change programmes to companies such as Dairygold; Pernod Ricard-Irish Distillers, Teagasc, Pirelli Tyres Spa, Kerry Group; Enterprise Ireland, ESB and IMI. He has taught in Australia, China, Ireland, UK, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands and the US.
HR magazine has ranked Patrick #8 in the 2012 Influential International Thinkers category.
He recently completed a DVD series on Leadership in Ireland for managers together with his colleague, Aoife Mc Dermott. He has published numerous articles in top journals and 14 books for managers including Persuasive Leadership: Lessons from the Arts (Jossey Bass, 2010), Leadership in Ireland (Blackhall, 2010); Strategy Implementation (Blackwell, 2000), Effective Top Management Teams (Blackhall, 2000) and Managing Without Traditional Methods (Addison Wesley, 1996).
Flood received his PhD from the London School of Economics (LSE). He has held faculty and visiting appointments at a number of business schools including London Business School, University of Limerick, University of Maryland and the Australian Graduate School of Management. He serves as Academic Fellow at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, and is currently Visiting Professor at the Northeastern University, China. He holds the DCU Presidents Award for Research and is the recipient of a Teaching Excellence award.
He is an elected Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS) and is a former Fulbright scholar.
