WIN A YEARS WORTH OF FREE HAIRDRESSING FOR 2012!!
In August 2011 I approached the owner of Wilde with an idea for a potentially huge competition through Wildes Facebook Fan Page. I was seeking approval to give away a year’s worth of free hairdressing for one client worth up to €5000. After getting the go ahead from my boss, I started putting teasers on the Facebook page, to generate hype and interest which worked remarkably well.
In early November the competition was published on the Wilde fan page. People were instructed to share the competition on their own wall to be in with a chance to win.
There were two benefits for Wilde with this action, Brand Awareness and more “Fans” on their Facebook Page to target with marketing in the future.
After eight weeks of interaction with Wildes Facebook Fans I announced the winner on the 28th of December.
The competition was deemed a huge success as Wildes Fan page increased from fewer than 400 “Likes” to 1300 “Likes” and gained Wilde a huge number of new clients.
