Award blurb: Louise Riordan, a College of Arts and Master student receives this award for her leadership qualitities and determination to ensure that NUIG University and Connaught Hockey has been firmly placed on the map. Her ability to include all club members in the overall strategic development of the Hockey club ensured that after many years of being in the wilderness University hockey is progressing to a Regional all time high. As Intervarsity co-coordinator Louise successfully managed 18 guest teams .It is to her credit that Irish Hockey Association public ally stated this was the best Intervarsity in the history of the competition.
