In 1997: began trading (as Lecan Technologies) in software development and systems integration & worked with multinationals in Healthcare, Technology and Process sectors on assignments in manufacturing automation and data management.
In 2001: narrowed focus to LifeScience manufacturing, invested in the development of Enterprise Software to assist firms in complying with FDA regulations. Renamed the company "GxP Systems" to reflect an concentration on LifeSciences and compliance.
In 2005: changed focus to compliance services, grew team to 100 by 2007.
Won "Sustained Excellence Award" in 2009 at it@cork awards, an award that recognizes a company that has been in technology sector for 7+ years with a strong record of growth, innovation, profitability or employment.

In 1980: Joined M.F.Kent (later Kentz) as an Engineering student - worked in summer jobs through university.
In 1985: worked in Kuwait, followed by Luxembourg, Holland, Belgium, holding various technician/engineering and project management roles.
In 1989: returned to Irish HQ, worked in business development and general management. Led the management team in KTS that provided all the group's specialist comissioning services (Industrial Automation & IT, Building Services)
In 1992: was part of team that developed a new business in Design Enginering services (focussed initially on DCS upgrade for Oil & Gas facilities). Held technical & management roles until my departure upon completion of a major project for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco).

Attended Enterprise Ireland's 2009 "Leadership for Growth" programme in Stanford GSB. Great learning experience.
